World Earth Day, 22 April 2026

Earth Day is crucial for creating awareness about saving the earth from distruction. The distruction can be seen in the form of climate change, water pollution, and land pollution, where biodiversity is at loss. This day acts as a worldwide call to action, mobilizing many people annually to educate for sustainability, protect natural resources and push for policies that secure a healthier and greener future for generations to come. 

To implement this idea, Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona created awareness on World Earth Day during the school assembly with a motive of saving the earth from harmful actions of human being, under the guidance of Trs. Rizma Fernandes and Felix Oliveira. The students told about the importance of the day, recited poem, conducted quiz, gave tips on protection of the earth, and announced the action plan to save the earth through small acts. The headmaster incharge also spoke and summarised on the topic of the day and expressed his concern over the issues of the earth. The assembly was concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.

Teachers Day was celebrated in Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona on 6 September 2025 under the leadership of class 10th, guided by Tr. Eleryn Fernandes. The day started with the Eucharistic Prayer, praying for management and staff of the school. After the refreshment, the stage programme began with a warm welcome to the teachers and staff. There were different items in the programme such as welcome song, dance, singing, comedy act, on the spot prizes, speeches and gift distribution to the teachers. Fr. Richard Crasto received an 'Teaching Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award 2025' and so Tr. Felix Furtado 'Radhkrishnan Visionary Mentor Award'. The Manager and Headmaster of the school appreciated the teachers for their selfless service to the school.

Farewell to Tenth Students 2026

Farewell programme was organised for the students of class 10th in Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona on 31 January 2026, under the guidance of Tr. Socie Dias, the class teacher of class 9th, along with the class students.  The day began with a Eucharistic Celebration followed by the stage programme. The manager and Headmaster Incharge gave the students meaningful messages through their speeches. They stressed on students being good human persons in future to come.  The items of the programme like welcome song, dances, acting, comedy, songs, prize distribution, memories display, giving token of love to students and so on. The day was concluded with the expression of gratitude and sharing of snacks  among the teachers and students.

Bagless Day, August 2025, (04)

Patriotic Singing Competition 2025, interclass, under junior and senior catagory, was organised, under the leadership of Tr. Flossie Gomes, on 14 August 2025, in the auditorium of Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona. All the students took part in the singing actively, with the introductions to the songs, acting and other creativity.  The Chief Guest of the occasion was Sr. Leena Nazareth who gave a message saying that the patriotic singing is the heart beat and breath of our life in the nation with its sacrifices and history. A patriotic dance was also performed to entertain the students and teachers on the occasion. Patriotic slogans were raised in the auditorium classwise, loudly after the singing.  In the junior catagory, class VII (7) were the winners of the competition whereas in senior catagory, class IX (9). The runners up of the junior category were class V (5) whereas in senior catagory class VIII (8). The competition was concluded with a vote of thanks.  ...
