Jal Pakhwada April 2026, Save Water
Directives from the Government
It has been decided by the government of India to organise 'Jal Pakhwada' from 16 to 30 April 2026, in all the schools and educational institutions in an appropriate manner with active involvement of students, teachers and community around, to bring awareness on the importance of water harvesting or conservation, since water is a limited resource in our daily life.
Saving water is significant because only a tiny fraction of Earth's water is fresh and accessible, yet demand is rising due to population growth and climate change. Hence, for the survival of human and other beings, water conservation is really necessary. So, should we not become aware of the fact and act upon the concept of saving water?
