Heritage Awareness Programme

The Department of Archaeology had organised a Heritage Awareness Programme on 27 February 2026 at Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem Goa, with the aim to promote awareness of Goa's Archaeology and Heritage among educators. Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona had directed three teachers namely Felix Oliveira, Jasilda D'Costa, and Clency Dias, to attend the programme. 

The Department did all the necessary arrangement under the leadership of Nilesh Faldessai and his team. The programme started with introduction and honour to the dignitaries on the dais. There were altogether six speakers who spoke on the heritage, culture and tradition of Goa from different perspectives. The main learning of the programme was that we need to become aware of our own Goan Heritage, Culture and Tradition, respecting each other and promoting the life giving aspects from the same. The programme was concluded with giving away of certificates to the participants.
