International Yoga Day 2025

International Yoga Day 2025 was observed in Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona Goa on 21 June 2025, under the guidance  of the Physical Education (PE) teacher, Tr. Felix Furtado. The theme for the day was 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health'. It expresses the deep connection between the earth and health with regard to its protection and preservation. 

The students took an active part in the performance of various postures (asanas) of Yoga and the boys and girls of the school also performed special yoga with music and rhythm separately, to show another way of doing the same thing with interest and enthusiasm. The teachers too performed different postures (asanas), to give a good example and to show its importance, to the students. The yoga session was concluded with a message that it is very beneficial for physical and mental health. 

International Yoga Day is celebrated in recognition of 'Yoga' around the world annually on 21 June. Yoga exercises are considered important for physical and mental wellbeing. It is accepted by UN and promoted globally to practice, which originated in ancient India. The first International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21 June 2015, around the world.
