Environmental Awareness in School
Environmental Awareness was given in Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona for the students of classes V, VI, VII for a period of two hours on 27 June 2025. The resource persons had come from the Centre for Wildlife Studies namely Vedraj Gosavi, an Educator, qualified in Oceanography (M.Sc) and Harshali Patkar, an Educator, qualified in Biodiversity and Wildlife Conservation (M.Sc). The request for the Environmental Awareness programme from the centre was responded and arranged under the guidance of Environment Committee of the School.
The resource persons gave a lot of awareness on wildlife and forest life and its importance of preservation for the sustainance of human life, with the help of videos and pictures. They also took the students outside (in School Campus), to show the nature and explained the facts in practice. They conducted an activity of making masks of animal faces, out of chart papers. The programme of the day was concluded with a vote of thanks to the resource persons.
