Goa Codes 2025 Competition

The Directorate of Technical Education has seleted certain schools as Lead Schools in the state for teaching Coding and Robotics Education in Schools. Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona,  being the Lead School in Coding & Robotics, it conducted Elective Curriculum classes every week in the school through 'Teach For Goa' (TFG) -  IT Engineers. The Elective Curriculum classes were conducted for the students at School level, wherein different neighbouring Schools participated with great vigour in this coding, during the non teaching hours. At the end of the curriculum, competitions were held on different phase levels under the title 'Goa Codes 2025'. The students of Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona also participated in the competition, along with the students of other schools. They participated in the competition on different phase levels as the information is given below. 

The following students are the winners at Phase 1 - Goa Codes 2025 at Lead School Level 

Std VII elective curriculum 
1. Sourav Sawant
2. ⁠Vihaan Gaonkar 

Std VI elective curriculum 
1. Quener Pereira
2. ⁠Havisha Thakur 

All the above students also participated at 
Phase 2 - Goa Codes 2025 at Taluka level but only Quener Pereira won the second place in the same level. 

He again participated at Phase 3 - Goa Codes 2025 at State Level and won the consolation prize. Thanks to Tr. Flossie for her guidance and creating interest in our students for coding.

Farewell to Headmaster

After working for four years in Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona, Fr. Richard Crasto, the Headmaster was given farewell as he is transferred to another school, on 14 June  2025 by the management, staff and students.  The day began with a Holy Eucharist which was arranged under the leadership of Tr. Eleryn Fernandes.  Everyone prayed for Fr. Richard Crasto wishing him good health and happiness in life. Father also thanked everyone for touching his life in different times.  A stage program  was also arranged  under the leadership of Trs. Prachi Amonkar, Socie Dias and Fr. Milagres Fernandes - Cultural Committee.  The items of the program were konkani song of gratitude, an act of comedy, speeches, presentation of the greeting cards, etc. Rev. Fr. Election of School Parliament

The Election of School Parliament was held on 25 April 2025 mainly to elect the  Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister of the School for the smooth functioning of the School activities, under the leadership of Tr. Felix Furtado and Tr. Juela Goes, in the Science Laboratory of Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona. The election for the other ministers of the School Parliament were held on the previous day to make the process quick and systematic.  Densia Cruz, Jolan Mascarenhas, Sirus Pereira, Sara Lobo, and Mrudula Arolkar were the candidates who contested for the post of School PM, and School Deputy PM. The Election process was arranged in a systemic manner with its proper format just to make the students understand the proper methodology of the election system. Bagless Day, September 2025, (05)

Teachers Day was celebrated in Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona on 6 September 2025 under the leadership of class 10th, guided by Tr. Eleryn Fernandes. The day started with the Eucharistic Prayer, praying for management and staff of the school. After the refreshment, the stage programme began with a warm welcome to the teachers and staff. There were different items in the programme such as welcome song, dance, singing, comedy act, on the spot prizes, speeches and gift distribution to the teachers. Fr. Richard Crasto received an 'Teaching Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award 2025' and so Tr. Felix Furtado 'Radhkrishnan Visionary Mentor Award'. The Manager and Headmaster of the school appreciated the teachers for their selfless service to the school.
