Kokedama Art Session

Kokedama Art Session was conducted for the students of classes 9 and 10 on 22 November 2024 by Leekhani Naik, under the leadership of Tr. Hazel Fernandes in Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona. It was a skill based session which gave a good idea about making kokedema. Leekhani is a agriculturist and Kokedama Artist and she is also a lecturer in Raika Agriculture College Savoi Verem. The headmaster thanked and appreciated the resource person and students who took part in the same. 

Kokedama  ("moss ball") is a ball of soil, covered with moss, on which an ornamental plant grows. The idea has its origins in Japan where it is a combination of nearai, bonsai and kusamona planting styles. Today, Kokedama is very popular in Japanese gardens.
