Aim of Establishing Fatima School

Our Lady of Fatima High School Rivona was established in the year 1957 by the Society of Pilars in the hands of late Rev. Fr. Teodolindo Cabral who was the pioneer of the School. In 1965, the school was started with standard V (5th) as it gradually developed. In 1969, the foundation for construction of a new building was laid. The objective of the school was to provide a comprehensive education from Nursery to SSC to the children of all classes and communities from Rivona.

The main aim of establishing the School also was to impart a quality education to all the students and make them good citizens of the country. It was also established in view of imparting values not only to the children but to the parents and people at large. Establishing the school was seen as an opportunity to work for the welfare of the people and give life values. School was the need of the time those days, and even today. Many students have acquired education in this school and have become good and responsible citizens. The school authorities see that all the students are benefited well with no distinctions on the bases of caste, religion, etc.

The school is situated in Rivona 10 kilometers away from Quepem and at Sanguem Taluka, in South Goa. The school is managed by the Society of Pilar. It is a government aided school and has been doing well in all the aspects of life. It gives opportunities to all types of students without any distinctions. The school also has another primary wing namely ‘Our Lady of Rosary Primary School, Rivona’. These both wings are part and parcel of Our Lady of Rosary Church, Rivona.
